ISAs - Individual Savings Accounts - with ifasw.co.uk.
ISAs are package investments that have been available since 6th April 1999. Up until the end of this tax year they have consisted of up to three components (cash, insurance and stocks& shares). However from 6th April 2005 (the start of the new tax year), the Life Insurance component will no longer be available, in favour of a larger Stocks and Shares component.
One very important rule of ISAs is that each year, an individual can choose to invest in either one "Maxi" ISA or multiple "Mini" ISAs. Once you have made your choice for that year, you cannot change your mind, although you are free to choose again each subsequent year. ISAs are available to individuals who are either UK resident or ordinarily resident. Those aged 16 years and above may invest in either a cash mini ISA or the cash component of a MAXI ISA. To invest in the two other components, you must be aged 18 or over. The tables below show the limits on how much you may invest each year in ISAs.

ISAs are invested in a tax-privileged environment and may be administered using CAT (charges / cost, access & terms) standards laid down by the government, but these are optional and at the discretion of the provider. The income and any capital growth from an ISA are tax-free and investments can be withdrawn at any time without loss of tax-relief (fund managers may no longer reclaim tax credits applied to these products however). The tax advantages do make ISAs popular vehicles for investments, but it is still challenging to select a provider and suitable product from those available, in order to best suit your needs. The advisers recommended by ifasw.co.uk have a great deal of experience in doing exactly this and have access to every ISA product in the marketplace. Furthermore, they will only make recommendations following an exhaustive search of all available options and they operate on a no obligation basis, so would be happy to help with your enquiry - To find out more, just ask us by clicking here!
